Girls, there is a common theme in my life right now and I have a feeling it may be in yours too. I don’t know or understand what God is doing.
He continues to remind me that His ways are better. Isaiah 55:8 says, “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, says the LORD. “And my ways are far better than anything you could imagine.
Have you felt this way? If you have, know, dear ones, you are not alone.
Many of us feel that way right now, but you know what I keep coming back to, how much He loves me and it still feels too good to be true. My mind just can’t grasp it.
Honestly, I’m not sure why it still feels too good to be true. I think there’s all the years of trying to earn His love that He is stripping away so that we can do as Paul prayed in Ephesians 3:17, “That you being rooted and established in love, may have the power to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.”
I’ve asked Him to strip away any religion I unknowingly picked up along the way of life and He keeps showing me with my perfectionistic, rule-following tendencies I picked up a lot.
Oh but, girls, in His kindness, He is stripping away all my religion. It’s not comfortable, but it is good. He’s doing as I’ve begged Him to do, as I’ve prayed lines from this song below, “Make Room” from Community Worship.
