Love One Person Well TODAY!

What if today we just ask the Lord “how can I love one person well right where I am instead of wanting to change the world”?

What if we love one person well? Just one person and then maybe another and another and then they did the same and it continued. Girls, millions would be shown the love of Christ and it all started with us loving one person well and them in turn doing the same.

Girls, I am preaching to the choir here, but am slowly learning to be with God and with people and this is so hard for me to be where he has me. To let go of my agenda, my plans, and my timing and just look right in front of me. This is so hard. I get so tempted to run ahead, but when I do He gently restores me and reminds me this is where He has me right now and it’s for my good and ultimately His glory.

When I accept this, I embrace the life he has given me and I see the gifts He has given me. More often than not, they aren’t things or experiences, they are people made in His image, His masterpiece and He’s entrusted me to love them well. Mother Teresa said, “We cannot do great things on this Earth, only small things with great love.”

He gives us all so many opportunities to love those around us. I’m afraid we miss so many of these because we are looking to make a big impact for His kingdom or looking to do something great, when he tells us. The Bible tells us that people will know that we are Jesus’s disciples by our love. Did you hear that, girls? It’s by our love!

“Everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35)

We are going to continue learning about what 1 Corinthians 13 love looks like in our blog series in the upcoming weeks, but today I encourage you to ask God who he wants you to love well today and then do it. Love well today! Remember they will know that we are daughters of the King of Kings by our love!
