He Delights in You!
Hello, Sweet Girl. Oh I have a message burning in my heart that feels too good to be true that I have to share with you because it is completely true! He tells us this over and over in His Word!
God delights in you as His daughter. He delights in YOU, Dear One!
“He brought me into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.”
Psalm 18:19 NLT
“He takes no pleasure in the strength of a horse or in human might. No, the Lord’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love.” Psalm 147:10-11 NLT
“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” Zephaniah 3:17 NLT
“For the Lord delights in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.” Psalm 149:4
This morning I was outside, looking at the beautiful green trees in my backyard with the cool breeze and smiling as I sipped my hot coffee with a cozy sweatshirt on. In the past year, I have been so in awe of God’s creation, the trees, the flowers, the sunset, the sunrise, the rain, the cool breeze. These things have made me smile and brought such comfort and joy to my heart. They have settled me. They have been like a hug from God in what has felt like an uncertain and weird time. They have reminded me of His beauty, His control, His presence, His provision and His perfect peace.
I share all this because this morning, I sensed the Holy Spirit whisper to me “the way you see My creation is how I see you. You, daughter, make Me smile. I love being with you. You please Me and I am delighted in you.”
Oh Sweet Girl, let this truth sink in deep your Father delights in you. He just wants to be with you. He enjoys you. You make Him smile. You bring Him great joy. He loves you with an everlasting love.
Sweet Girl, if you are like me this is hard to truly believe, but if you are God’s daughter this is completely true. I am still asking God to let this sink in deep. I hope you are asking Him too. If you don’t believe this, then be honest with Him and tell Him how much you desperately want to believe this. Join me in praying this scripture. “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief.” Mark 9:24b
Dear One, sit in God’s delight. He sees you. He knows you. He loves you. He delights in you. Sit with Him; let this sink in. Oh Dear Girl, I hope you are falling more in love with Him and are feeling His nearness.
I hope you will find some time today to just sit with Him and just be with Him. Meditate on the scriptures above and let Him bring refreshment to your heart and soul.
To close, here’s a brief excerpt from my journal:
“Oh Father, I am overwhelmed by your love for me as your child. The fact that you delight in me as your daughter just leaves me speechless. Thank you Father, I’m so thankful to be your daughter. Please show me how to delight in those around me and show them I enjoy just being with them. Please give me creative ways to show them this. Father, I could sit with you here forever. Thank you that one day, I can. Please show me how to overflow with the love you’ve shown me - your grace, your mercy and your love. I love you Lord! In Jesus name, Amen.”
