Everything Will Be Okay - Part 3

Updated: Feb 9, 2021

Girls, I truly believe so many of us are in our “Red Sea” moments right now and God is going “to do something in our day that we would not believe even if we were told.” (Habakkuk 1:5) That’s why we come to Him, we pour out our hearts to Him, and He gives us what we need to get up and follow wherever He will lead as we are strengthened in the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said, “Come to me all who are weary and heavy burdened and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

I hope these verses encourage you and give you the permission you need to come to Jesus just as you are and cry out to Him no matter what you feel. He doesn’t want you to dry your tears first or just pretend you aren’t hurt, sad, angry, or anxious before you come to Him. He wants you to come to Him in what feels like a mess to you. Oh girls, don’t wait another minute, stop right now and if there is anything heavy on your mind or heart come to Him. Talk to Him about it. He will give you peace that surpasses all understanding and comfort unlike anyone or anything in the world can. Jesus is the Prince of Peace and God is the God of all comfort. Oh sweet girls, if you do this consistently this will change everything and will allow you to experience even more of the depth, width, and height of God’s love for us.

“For to us a child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

“Blessed be the God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-5

“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.” Ephesians 3:18

Reflection:

  1. Is there anything you need to cast on the Lord? Any fear, any anxiety, any confusion, any doubt?

  2. Spend 1-3 minutes and meditate (think) about Jesus as the following: Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.

  3. Did one of those attributes of God stick out to you? Take some time to thank Jesus for who He is and specifically the attribute(s) that stuck out to you.
