Take Heart Dear One - Reminders & Questions

Hello Dear One, how are you? I hope you are well and are staying encouraged in the Lord. I hope you are running to Him and talking to Him often. Take heart, Dear One. I hope these reminders fill your heart and encourage you!

God is love.

“God is love. Whoever lives in love, lives in God and God in them.” 1 John 4:16

God is the source of all comfort. He comforts us so we can comfort others.

“God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.” 1 Corinthians 1:3-4

God promises us His presence and rest.

“And He said, My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14

God shows us which path to take and gives us joy.

“You make known to me the path of life and in his presence he gives us fullness of joy. At your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11

Jesus gives us His perfect peace.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

God is near the brokenhearted.

“The Lord is near the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

Jesus has overcome the world.

In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

I know there’s so much going on right now. There’s so much that’s hard, confusing, that may feel chaotic, and doesn’t make sense. I know many of you may have deep wounds that He wants to heal and I truly believe He wants you to come to Him and tell Him what’s on your heart and mind.

I want to ask you a question, Dear One. Have you talked to God about what’s going on in your life? Have you asked Him to comfort you, to give you His perfect peace and rest? Have you asked Him to show you how to love others and see them as He sees them? Have you asked God if there’s anything He wants to teach you or reveal to you in this season? Maybe even asking is there anything that He wants you to change or do differently or is there anything in your life right now that you’re making more important to you than God?

I have heard from many of you and there are some hard things going on in your lives. At the same time, I’m hearing of you all running to God in the hard. I’m hearing about you experiencing His presence, His perfect peace in situations where you used to feel anxious. I’m hearing about the incredible things that God is teaching you right now. He truly is teaching you all so much! If you haven’t really talked to God about what’s going on in your life, in the world around you, and if there’s anything He wants to show you or teach you, I want to invite you to do that. There is so much opportunity to get to know God more and be in even closer fellowship with Him.

Here are a few questions to get you started:

  1. God, thank You that You want me to come to You and talk about what’s going on in my life. Is there anything going on in my heart that You want me to bring to You and talk to You about? Is there anything that has happened to me or anything on my heart or mind that You want me to talk to You about?

  2. Papa, God, do I need You to hold me right now if so, will You hold me? Will You comfort me, will You mend my wounds and remind me of Your perfect love?

  3. Lord, is there anything You want to show me or teach me right now? Please give me “eyes to see and ears to hear” anything You want to show me.

  4. Father, will You please give me Your heart for those around me and will You help me to see them like You see them?

  5. Holy Spirit, will You please give me guidance in any area of my life where there is confusion or that feels chaotic?

  6. Jesus, will You please fill me with Your perfect peace that transcends my understanding and is not dependent on my circumstances?

Dear Girl, these are just a few questions to get you started. I believe as you talk to God about what’s on your heart and mind and invite Him in that you will naturally come to Him more and more often. He is the only one that can give us what we truly need and often we don’t even know that ourselves, but He always does and wants to give it to us.
