Daughter, God sees you as pure as snow

Updated: Feb 8, 2021

Hello girls, I have a message that settled over me this morning as I watched the beautiful snow fall in Tennessee. If you are a Christ-follower, sweet girls, when God sees you, He sees you as pure as snow.

In Christ, you are a pure child. Let this sink in deep and think about what this means to you personally. “Come now let us reason together,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” Isaiah 1:18

How can this be? Sweet girls, if you are God’s daughter when He sees you, He sees Jesus’s blood and righteousness. For he (God) made Him (Jesus) who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

Daughters, this is truly how God sees you. He doesn’t see you how you see yourself or even how others see you. He sees you through the lens of Christ’s blood and righteous and He sees your heart. He sees a girl who is wholeheartedly seeking after Him out of her love for Him and loving those around her, and just like a proud Father, I truly believe he says, “That’s my girl.”

“The Lord does not look at things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

“For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the Earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.” 2 Chronicles 16:9

You see girls, your greatest calling is to love and everything flows from that. In the next few weeks, we are going to be learning more about God’s love for us. It’s only when we’ve experienced His love for us that we can truly love others.

“This is love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4:10

“Three things will last forever - faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love. Let love be your highest goal.” 1 Corinthians 13:13, 14:1a

“Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.” Romans 12:9

“By this everyone will know you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35

And dear girls, because He loves you so much, He will continue to refine you to reflect Him to the world through the process of sanctification. We will be talking more about this soon, but for now remember as His daughter He sees you as pure and He loves you with an everlasting love!

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” Jeremiah 3:13

Questions and Reflection

  1. How does it make you feel to know that if you are Christ-follower, He sees you as pure?

  2. Do you have trouble believing that the Lord is proud to call you His daughter? If you do, talk to the Lord about this and ask him to help you truly believe this?

  3. Spend time reflecting on how your greatest calling is to love. Ask the Lord, to teach you how to truly love others as he loves you.
