What your story should include:
We all have something to share:
God is continuously growing us and teaching us to be more like His Son, Jesus. We all have something to share, something God has brought us through, something He has revealed to us that has changed our lives, something that gives us hope and gives us direction. Maybe God put someone in your life who encouraged you, a song that shot straight to your heart, a verse that you could stand on when times were hard, a revelation about His love for you. Whatever thing, may it seem big or small, God is working in your life everyday. We want you to start looking for Him and then start sharing it. And GL4G is a great place to start!
BUT... I don’t know how. But... I’m not a good writer. But, but,...
Listen, it can be scary at first to speak up. You know why? Satan wants you to be quiet. He doesn’t want you to spread the Good News of Jesus dying on the cross to save us and that through Jesus we can be in relationship with God. Satan wants to destroy us and our relationship with God. Just look at what he did to Adam and Eve. “The thief’s (Satan’s) purpose is to steal and kill and destroy...” John 10:10. So Satan will give you a million “buts” but God says to speak up! “Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Matt. 28:19. Making disciples means to teach others what you’ve been taught, so they can teach others!
You can do it - We’ll help you!
We all share good news. Probably everyday! We tell our friends and family about an amazing song we heard, our team that just had a great play, about the place where you found your new favorite dessert, that exciting thing that just made your day, and on and on. Now you didn’t stop and think, “Well, I’m not so sure I can articulate it just right, so I guess I won’t tell anyone about it.” Of course not! You told them in your own words what you were excited about. And that’s what you can do with GL4G. Just talk like you normally do and share the good things God is doing in your life. We’re not asking for you to write a sermon. Just to share what’s on your heart. What you think is small, might just be what another person needs to hear.
Tips to share:
1st - Start looking and expecting God to be a part of your life. Because He already is! We are the ones who get busy and leave Him out of it. Pray for God to use you today. Talk to Him. Read your Bible. When something happens that may even upset you, ask God what He is doing? What He’s trying to show you? Listen, watch, obey His commands, speak His name in a conversation and see what happens.
2nd - Share however you express yourself best! It can be written, a song, a poem, a picture, a drawing, a video... Send it to us, or send us a link to it, and tell us how God worked or moved in you.
3rd - For those who really love guidelines... typically you don’t want what you share to be too long. 700 words give or take is typically a good size. If you feel like you need help with editing, don’t worry! We will send it to our editor where they will edit for grammar and structure, but still keep your original thoughts and message!
4th - Include scripture with what you share. God’s Word is always powerful and impacts people. Isaiah 55:11. If you’re not sure what scripture to share we will look some up for you that goes along with what God was teaching you.
5th - Send us your picture! We want to show everyone who they are hearing from and show that you are regular girl, just like them! :)
Need some ideas or inspiration on what to share?

(This is the #2 in our call to live as a GL4G) "But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus - the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” Acts 20:24 NLT
